GaN Application Demo 3: eGaN FETs for LiDAR

LiDAR (Light Distancing and Ranging) uses pulsed lasers to rapidly create a three dimensional image or map of a surrounding area. This technology is rapidly gaining traction in applications where this increased accuracy is vital, such as autonomous vehicles and augmented reality systems. In this video, we discuss the need for speed and accuracy of the laser and the capability of eGaN FETs to enable ultra-short transition times of less than 1ns.
